    This “bunch of damn reds” thing is based on a US foreign volunteer who joined the YPG and then left saying, “they’re a bunch of damn reds!” Which actually isn’t true. The ideology took a clear steer away from communism in the 90s at their leader’s guidance, who found Bookchin.

    According to this, one of the main groups organising foreign pro-YPG fighters in Syria is called "Bunch of Damn Reds."
