I love IB because of how comfy it is to use. Multiple posts for 1 upload, easy to use pool system, nice layout, a good popular section. Huge support for animations, picture or writing file types. Love it.

I like these details of IB too, also it looks pretty. I've seen people complain a lot about that site because cub, but blacklist exist for something xD https://i.imgur.com/Y1Y4lDp.png

Either here or IB for me. I like e621 when it comes to browsing, but I fucking hate how they handle posting stuff and their strict quality guidelines with it.

Hmm. But the reason why I’m so bitter about e621 is because I’ve submitted some of my own artwork there about 2 months ago and they all got taken down because it didn’t “match their quality standards”. Even though I submitted some old artwork a few years ago and THOSE got approved. I even tried contacting the admin who took it down and he still hasn’t answered.

The only other furry websites I ever use are e621 and f-list.

There are so many good alternative sites to use but everyone sticks to FA because of how entrenched it is, kind of annoying lol.

I like the community here xp that's why it's my favorite furry website

I'd say inkbunny but it's so rampant with cub art it's questionably legal.

you can use IB without seeing the cub porn they have a block fetcher they have on there sight to use.

IB is definitely my most preferred -- the look, favorites-searching, and pools are some of the features I really dig. A more convenient feature that I don't use often is the Cache-switching, if something is wrong with the site that isn't taking it down entirely, IB lets you pick which region you're requesting images from. Even then, any issues and downtime seem to be resolved quickly by staff.

Weasyl is a runner up, their UI is pretty clean, I love the idea of their Collections system, although there needs to be a few tweaks to it in my opinion in order to make it really shine. Also PRESS F TO FAVORITE is freakin' gold, it allows me to bulk-rush through pages of submissions -- I just need the site to have an option to scale uploads to monitor size.

Furry Network looked interesting, but the slow development and seemingly lackluster details behind the commissions feature they wanted to implement made it pretty easy to lose interest. After their main gallery front-page had an issue of only showing the first screen-full of uploads usage went down farther; I don't know if it's still a problem.

e621, although not a gallery site, it's great for finding someones artwork when either a signature isn't easily visible when someone shares a piece or the artist just doesn't tag jack-shit in their own gallery and it can't be found through usual search methods on FA (oddly enough FA has the strongest search imo, just gotta figure it out).

I meant Eka’s Portal
  rothar

#link     Posted: 3 months ago

That would hardly count though.
Eka's portal is more of a vore art focused site and while it was originally started (from what i've heard) to host the artist Strega's stuff and had alot of furry artists (Sirorca, Dolorcin, Liz_art, Sprout and Evalion all of which have stopped posting) it now days consist mainly of human content, there rarely is any furry stuff because people barely pay it any mind. They just prefer their weeb women over furry stuff.

I am vaguely surprised F-list isn't part of that vote.. But then that's more for text based role play..

Each person has a profile they can post art on.. Though it isn't really explicitly for artists to post their work..

F-List also isn't made for furries, though it's highly populated by furries.
The F isn't foe furry apparently.

Inkbunny is my top alternative I suppose, namely it's not as dead as other sites and has a community of it's own. Multiple images per submission is really nice, and an effective blacklist which is something everything but FA has pretty much.

As for other art sites I've tried...

Weasyl - The website itself is pretty nice and has a good set a features, I'd probably use it if It were more active...
FurryNetwork - seemed really promising at first, but development ground to a hault. It resumed after a while, but it seems to be slow going. I still find a number of issues that prevent me from using it.
SoFurry - I dunno. It's an odd one to me, the layout is kind of all over the place, I guess it's a little dated. I had seen the redesign in progress which looked pretty nice though.
Furrific - I actually hadn't heard of this one... not sure what to make of it.

FA is the only one I have any sort of affection for. I also use Inkbunny, but the site is full of creeps. Have had to block about 50 people there. Nobody has ever commissioned me through inkbunny either.
Actually come to think of it I have no excuse to still be using inkbunny

Every other furry site seems to be entirely dead though.

E621 is useful but I don’t know if it really counts

I like InkBunny because it feels more modern and it has a nice set of features like the tag block list. On FA a lot of people write bullshit in their tags, probably because they don't have much use here. Also the Pools feature is nice, as well that you can have multiple versions of an artwork grouped under one submission.
A feature i like on weasyl, that I wish for FA, is the collection feature. You can send your clients a collection offer so they can put the commissioned artwork in their gallery instead of having to reupload it. So all the views, favs and comments go back to the artist.
On SoFurry I like that they have a strict policy on promotional content and a feature to enable artist to put their commission offers or patreon ads in a extra section that is separate from regular submissions.
That's also a feature I'd like to have on FA. Some days my submission inbox is like 50% ads which can be really anoying and when I post a commission reminder or something myself I also feel like annoying people that are not interested and only want to see my artworks. FA does a poor job in helping artist to promote their paid and off-site content (like streams).
Also what I like on every other site is the ability to upload high-res files. I paint my stuff in resolutions like 7000 to 4000px, then resize it by 50% for upload and always feel bad when I have to shrink it even more to 1280px just for FA.

But in the end I stay on FA since this is where the people are and where even I can get 100 views on a submission sometimes.

Honestly, I have a Furry Network account, and an Inkbunny account, but I don't hang out in either of these places anymore. These days, it's just FA for me. And I don't even use it to talk to people, because I don't really check for journals, and rarely comment on things. I just watch people and check for art.

I will only answer e621, because that's the only one I visit every now and then out of the options.

Well e621 for me, 'cause I don't have to set up an account there.
I'm not very comfortable with setting up accounts everywhere.

But IB would be my next best vote, I guess.

Everybody knows FA is the best because it prohibits cub porn
But I admit... I do browse e621 and e926 every so often

Honestly as a none artist it doesn't matter. Whichever has the best features to allow me to find, interact, commission and support an artist I like is the best and all pretty much facilitate that to some degree (except 6621 for obvious reasons).

That said if I were an artist I'd do things differently. Though I don't know if you'd be interested in a "what-if" scenario from me.

It would be E621 for me.
I just like the simplicity that it and Furaffinity has. They do their job and they do it nearly perfectly, they don't try to do anything extra or flashy.
Something like Inkbunny would come close third, it has some neat features but I dislike certain others. Plus the overall bright colors of it.
The ability to post several things at once are nice but at the same time it hides those images a bit. So there could be a comic upload and it has 8 pages but the thumbnail image doesn't look interesting when you see it so you don't click it.
Then you find out it had a page in it you really enjoyed.
Also, from a uploader standpoint that it has a few unecessary things. Like having you tag in 3 separate windows. I don't think it matters where you put your tags but I just find it a bit bothersome, I just cross out the top windows and write all of it in the 'Optional / Misc' window

E621 and Furaffinity have it going for them that they are easy on the eyes, and run good. When something like the more recent Furry Network that popped up ran and still runs pretty bad. At least on mobile devices for me (but also at times on PC).
I think they are trying to win people over by making it flashy looking but that in turn means the website takes longer to load and more of a chore.

E621 I really like because of its archive aspect. I can think of a image that I want to use as a sample for a commission I want to get, and I know that I can go on E621, search the pose, or the details of the character and I'll find the image. Something you can't do on other sites as tags aren't as well organized and handled.

e621 is my favourite mainly because is the only furry site where i always search porn (besides tumblr and FA) and is one of the first pages i ever used to search for furry

FA comes next because of the many artists i follow, like you and Inkbunny i barely use it and i like his UI and design, looks clean

the other ones i never used them

InkBunny for me. It has features / does some things better that FA doesn't, and has a relatively strong userbase. It's a shame so many choose to associate it purely for one single fetish to validate writing it off entirely, but what can you do.

e621 is my second choice for the tagging system making it easier to find specific things and themes, but the comment sections are often pretty awful. It leans more towards memes and kinkshaming than feedback or constructive criticism.

Definitely IB. There's a great group of users there who are so friendly. It's not exactly a social network site but sometimes it seems that way. I find the quality to crap ratio of the art to be better than other sites, including FA, too.

e621 is definitely on the list too. The search and tags (and block list) work so well. The discussions aren't so good or friendly. It's no chan but comments can be more unfriendly than here.

SoFurry for me. Saw the cub stuff on IB and said "nope" and stopped going there. Furrynetwork is a distant second.

Weasyl is great! Collections, market, filters, if only more people used it...

100% Weasyl (what a shame this website doesn't have more success) and a bit SoFurry as well.

For the others... InkBunny seems more cub and diapers kinks oriented which really... well, let's just say it's not my thing and I don't manage to understand how it can be a thing. Otherwise, this website would be great.
Furry-Network, I tryed it, but I considere it more like a twitter for (N)SFW arts than like a website dedicated for arts like Deviantart or FurAffinity.
Furiffic... Never tryed it. But from the name, I would have thought it was more dedicated for writers / RP users...
And E621... I used it only for searching pics, that is all. And I don't find the website interesting enough to go further than "searching".
