Secrets are a recurring gameplay element in the Jak and Daxter series where you can unlock several special game modes, extra minigame courses, weapon upgrades, cheat codes, items and various other stuff. Secrets are either automatically unlocked upon collecting Precursor orbs or can be bought with them. Several of them, such as the scene players, model viewers or scrap books must be selected from the title menu.

Jak IIEdit

In Jak II, secrets are unlocked as you progress through the game, they are not bought but will be unlocked after collecting a certain amount of Precursor orbs. Note that the Mega Scrap Book can only be unlocked upon collecting another 200 Orbs in Hero Mode.

Mirror World Collect 15 Precursor orbs Mirrors the in-game world, left is right, right is left.
Big Head Mode Collect 30 Precursor orbs Jak will have an overly large sized head.
Small Head Mode Collect 45 Precursor orbs Jak will have a very small sized head.
Scrap Book Collect 55 Precursor orbs A collection of various concept art from the game.
Scene Player Act 1 Collect 65 Precursor orbs A collection of all cutscenes from Act 1.
Vulcan Fury gun course Collect 75 Precursor orbs An extra training course at the gun course.
Scene Player Act 2 Collect 95 Precursor orbs A collection of all cutscenes from Act 2.
Peace Maker gun course Collect 105 Precursor orbs An extra training course at the gun course.
Scene Player Act 3 Collect 125 Precursor orbs A collection of all cutscenes from Act 3.
Reverse Races Collect 135 Precursor orbs The normal NYFE races, but in reverse.
Level Select Collect 145 Precursor orbs A collection of all missions in the game.
Unlimited Ammo Collect 155 Precursor orbs Will give unlimited ammo for all four Morph Gun weapons.
Unlimited Dark Jak Collect 165 Precursor orbs Will give Jak unlimited Dark Eco, for unlimited Dark Jak transformations.
Invulnerability Collect 175 Precursor orbs Makes Jak invincible to all damage.
Hero Mode Collect 200 Precursor orbs A new game mode that has stronger enemies.
Mega Scrap Book Collect 200 Precursor orbs in Hero Mode A large collection of various concept art from the game.

Jak 3Edit

In Jak 3, the secrets must be bought with orbs, so the player can choose which they want first. Most secrets are only available for purchase after completing a certain mission or buying another secret.

Called the Secrets Shop, these secrets can be bought with Precursor orbs (numbering in the thousands) gained by winning races in adventure mode. There's also a number of other unlockables which don't require orbs to buy but instead need a certain playtime or a certain race course to be completed to be unlocked.

Hot Coffee 100,000 Buy in Shop The name is a play on the hidden sex minigame in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. In this scene you see Daxter and Tess in the Naughty Ottsel, where Tess compliments Daxter and he drinks from a mug until he says "Whaat?" as both look into the camera.

DaxterEdit

In Daxter, secrets are different compared to the other games and only feature a menu where you can toggle various clothing or mask items for Daxter. You may also view videos related to the development which unlock after collecting large numbers of Precursor orbs. By defeating the final boss two new secrets are unlocked named "play level" and "play movie".

CheatsEdit

Cheat Descriptions
Website clues Codes unlocked via the dream mode minigame that unlock wallpapers and other goodies on the now-defunct official Daxter website.
Pants Pants identical to those from Jak 3, unlocked gaining gold on the Lord of the Rings II dream.
Hat An Indiana Jones-style hat unlocked after completing said minigame with a gold medal.
Masks Masks are collectible items found by destroying hidden portraits in some locations in the game.
Goggles Automatically unlocked after connecting to Jak X: Combat Racing, when enabled Daxter will wear his goggles down on his face.
Jak X: Combat Racing™ vehicle Also unlocked when connecting to Jak X: Combat Racing, but only if said game has a 100% completion savefile. The scooter will gain numerous physical changes.

Play levelEdit

Unlocked by defeating the final boss. Allows the player to warp to any level except: Hive queen 1, Hive Queen 2, Prison zoomer chase and the final boss.
