FreeDawn wasn't supposed to mean this but heck, I'm in.
you know what this mean. Trouble Maker revivallllll!!!
Hyuna liked his first post, which basically verifies the account.
Well, any hope I was holding out just vanished
so i guess thats the end to my hope that he stays in pentagon huh. he's the reason i got into pentagon in the first place, so this is kind of a bittersweet thing for me. please be happy, edawn!
Where is this saga going? Why not announce he's leaving too then?
Cube doing their own version of a KDrama. Like seriously, what other curveball are we getting next? It’s a bit odd that there’s still no news of E’Dawn’s status, especially since Cube already released Hyuna. Wonder why it’s taking so long to comment about his status.
I’m so happy for them both but dang, I was hoping they managed to keep him in pentagon with Hyuna leaving cube instead. I really hope another label picks them up, or they work something out together. It’s way too early in both of their careers to not keep doing what they’re doing!
HyunA could probably set up her own agency quite easily, she's her own brand. It would give her complete control and freedom to do whatever she wanted.
Hyuna has been around a while...she will be fine. Iif she wants to work, she will get work.
Still using his stage name......:'
Even if he leaves Cube his stage name still has brand power/recognition so it would benefit him to keep it if he continues his career elsewhere.
It's true, it's just a very weird feeling to see it divorced from the context of the company and group.
I personally like the blonde On him more but I'm happy that hes able to experiment with this style
Please calm down. OP probably didn’t have any ill intentions. It’s a legit meme that originated from their song
Nope but when you have a multitude of people telling you the exact same same response like you're not Understanding oor listening to what they're saying, it's a little bit of Stubborn of you
its just a meme
Bruh you take this shit too seriously calm down lmao
Nowadays people wonder what is love? but Hyuna just showed us the real love sorry Twice!
I think you need to stop ..you are making less and less sense as the thread drags on.
Omg, just shush. Nobody is out to get your favs; the line is from their song Forever Young and its clearly a joke by calling Edawns new IG/Hyuna's no fucks given a revolution. You need a chill pill girl
The joke is about the line, not about BP. It just happens to be BP's line.
Omg they aren’t getting dragged into it LOL it’s just a joke because of their lyrics
Imagine being this pressed?? I don’t get it
Blackpink doesnt matter in this situation. I feel like youre a very daft person and maybe even dimwitted. Its a reference to their song and it was used in a joke. Multiple people have explained this to you, and if you cannot see that then maybe this sub just aint it for you. Like you cant even handle a song joke reference without claiming that BP is being "dragged" into this. NO THEY'RE NOT!
This Twitter-trigger reaction is so unintentionally funny lol
you need to calm down lmao. nobody would say “this is the real power up, sorry red velvet” because it doesn’t make sense
Chill.. issa joke
Your saltiness is showing man. Why bring up another group and claim they are the subreddit darlings like jeez...you are doing exactly what you were criticising...smh
It's facts..it's 'tea' but your saltiness and snark is very much apparent in your 'edit'...What I am calling out is your hypocrisy, you made such a mountain out of a small meme which your fav group is actually thriving on( it's sort of their tagline) that the OP must have stated mirthfully and then you have the audacity to drag another group and make snarky comments abt them when they weren't even remotely a part of the convo...
"One of the subreddit darlings"
So now that's 2 fandoms that pretend this sub hates them, army and now blinks lmao
I mean I know what you’re saying but just because they’re the most liked (not sure where this metric even comes from) doesn’t mean BP is the most disliked. IIRC the sub usually holds a voting thing (census?) so you can see for yourself the least favorites. Someone with the results correct me if I’m wrong but I assume they’re up there.
In any case my time here has shown me BP posts are shot up to the front like every other big groups news post and all the post leading up to D4 were heavily gilded so if anything BP talk is hyped as hell. People hate YG and his treatment of BP not the girls themselves.
That's fundamentally not true...the subreddit rejoiced at the collaboration thing with Dua lipa....idk what's with this whole thread...
It's interesting how different the English comments are vs the Japanese & Korean ones...
The English ones in general are like... be free and happy... While the Japanese and Korean are like, what are you doing? What have you done to Pentagon? You're crazy.
lmao. People who say that in English get bullied to hell. :x Though Japan and Korea are the places that gave birth to idol groups, so... without their sort of thinking, we wouldn't be here.
Power couple of KPOP coming thruuuuuu with their poor hair choices
e’dawn in pentagon was dead the second they confirmed dating. i don’t know why people held out hope.
honestly, I wouldn't be surprised he's still in cube for legal reasons (can't buy out his contract for ex) so he's basically on dungeon zone, can have sns and work outside but it's legally prohibited to gave interviews/talk about cube. would be a win-win for everyone.
I didn't expect him to join the Fuck Cube Lives movement so fast, I'm impressed
well folks! that pretty much confirms it, he’s done with cube.
edit: okay apparently the korean commenters are eating him alive, rip.
Am I the only one that feels like this is could be a sign that he actually IS still with Cube? Or is it normal for idols leaving their company to keep their stagename? (since he called the account eeeeedawn)
it is normal that they keep their stage name since the artists themselves chose their stage name and not their company so the name in independent from the company imo. He is still E'Dawn but of course not E'Dawn from Pentagon anymore.
Oh okay, I honestly though most idols had a stagename assigned to them lol. Not mad though, E'dawn sounds pretty cool. Edit: I just looked up the meaning of his name, and now it's even cooler hahah. For anyone interested, here's what he said about the meaning of his name: "My name, 'Hyo' it means Dawn 'Hyo'. SO, when I combine Dawn and East together, it has the meaning of sun rising from the east at the break of dawn that's why my name is E'dawn." (source: https://www.wattpad.com/320705193-i%27m-your-pentagon-guide-to-universe-discontinued)
Some (maybe a lot?) have their stage name chosen by their company.
Ex: Umji from Gfriend cried when she knew what would be her stage name (Because of the meaning).
You know, I feel like Pentagon might leave too eventually to join E Dawn. They don’t need Cube, they can write lyrics , compose, be on on variety, choreograph dances , speak languages, their talent is endless.
They could survive on their own in a different company, heck Highlight could take them in. I’m a Universe, but Pentagon deserve none of this. I know it might mean they can’t perform their own songs anymore but they could still create bops like they always have been .
Cube messed up, big time, and I really don’t know how the hell they are gonna pick up the pieces.
Yeah but good luck to Pentagon having enough money to buy out their contracts. That's very very unlikely.
Where are the Korean fans who form the core and majority of their fan-base going to come from?
Even if they want to leave, Pentagon can't. They have signed a contract, and are bound to stay until it ends, in something like five years. Earlier departure would be because they disband early.
I suppose this means the end of his time in Pentagon?...Which sucks, but Cube also shouldn't have dealt with the news, the way they did.
I hope he finds even more happiness in the future, career wise, and with Hyuna!
