, won 2018 Nobel Prize. I followed her efforts to raise awareness about atrocities since 2015. Here is my piece on her visit to Egypt, in which I argued public pressure is the only way to stop current stagnation of Islamic thoughts.

The burden of exposing lies is on us all. We cannot continue to cycle lies just because MBS, unless we are willing to lose our integrity and self-respect!

Yes, it's ridiculous. But this isn't just the WashPost. This is John Brennan, former director of the CIA and former station chief in Riyadh. You would expect him, while opposing the assassination of a political opponent, to be truthful about what that opponent represented.

WP is turning into the Jesus of Arabia facing King Herod. Sorry to spoil it for the WP, no one is that innocent, including JK. That does not, in any way, justify his alleged murder, but glamorising as Saint is wrong and counter-productive.

I meet tens of PhD/MA students doing research in the UAE, one was wearing an academic hat but caught doing fishy research and passing info to foreign client. There is always a rotten case, an insult to legit academia. He doesn't deserve my sympathy. The UAE remains open to all

A sad trend I'm seeing on Iraqi social media particularly from women is the belittling of these threats. Women like this model are being accused of attention seeking and exploiting the victims to easily acquire immigration.

Missing from today’s headlines: kidnapped some 130 families, mostly women, from a refugee camp in Deir Ezzor, according to Syrian Observatory reports. Very few care. Crimes of terror groups are judged mildly than crimes of authoritarian regimes!
