    I posted these pictures of the articles Jamal Khashoggi gave me in 1989, when the US, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, China, the UK and others were jointly supporting the Afghan mujahidin against the Soviet Union. If Jamal and I made a mistake in supporting that struggle, we had company.

    I didn’t realize until yesterday that Jamal Khashoggi was the author of this notorious 1988 Arab News article of him tooling around Afghanistan with Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda co-founder…

    1. Look up the many other journalists who met mujahideen/jihadis in the late 1980s/early 1990s. 2. Are you suggesting that writing an article about said jihadis merits getting assassinated? 3. Who funds the ?

    Huh. It's almost like reality is quite different than the evidence-free narratives peddled by media with a long history of cooperating with or getting duped by Iran echo chamber architects.

    If one's love and service for his country does not mean anything and nuanced criticism made with good faith qualifies for treason, then that system is going to collapse sooner or later. I don't know about Saudis, but we cannot afford seeing another Aleppo in Mecca and Medina!

    Khashoggi was more concerned and loyal to Saudi than any of the royal family members will ever be! The man breathed love for Saudi. Any mistakes he had were all caused by his deep love for his country and his concern for its stability. He didn't deserve any of this.

    Those who killed Khashoggi in that barbaric way will never be able to serve Saudi, its people, Mecca and Medina. It is for the sake of Saudi's stability and future that those responsible for this horrible crime should be exposed, cursed,and punished. Dictators are not countries!

    Khashoggi was a US green card holder, the same immigration status Trump’s mother- and father-in-law had until two months ago.

    Trump seemed to make a point today to note that Khashoggi wasn’t a U.S. citizen. Remember that.
