(THREAD) It's one of those Saturday evenings again where I browse through my combat footage archive and find interesting videos: Here, a large group of Ahrar al-Sham fighters storm and capture loyalist-held al-Fanar barrier on Mount al-Arbaeen in idlib prov. (May, 2015)pic.twitter.com/P68gfQj83o

Particularly east of Sha'fah, where several of their raiding groups were mangled pretty badly. In Hajin, they took several losses, but ultimately were mostly successful in their raids. On the Baghuz axis, clashes were very bloody. Coalition retaliation was very harsh as well.

6. Casualties were high, especially for a unit in the DeZMC from Shaddadi, which took 40 dead and wounded. As far as I know, there were at least 100 dead and wounded among the SDF. However, this is not a 1-sided battle. Daesh casualties were also high++

5. The counterattack during the sandstorm did not see a total collapse in SDF lines. Anyone who says so is lying. Almost all areas were recaptured with the exception of locations inside Soussa and a few areas in Hajin. Daesh driving around the desert isn't proof of a collapse.

#DeZMC fighters were provided with IED training, but YPG/J specialists are doing most of the demining. DeZMC was also provided with small numbers of MaxxPro MRAPs. Of which two have been lost. 1 was destroyed and another captured. YPG uses IAG Guardians and Humvees.Show this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo -
They left without the approval of other people and will probably not be allowed to return. 3. Arab forces are from several main areas. Shaddadi, Deir ez Zor, Raqqa, and Hasakah. There is also a very small MFS detachment.

#YPG International are not allowed to fight. They are held up in Shaddadi. Two weeks ago, a commander allowed them to go fight, and unfortunately Sehid Şahin fell. YPGINT were immediately withdrawn. ++Show this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo -

#SDF forces in the area number roughly ~7000 fighters in total. They are almost entirely Arabs. Those doing the actual clashing are entirely Arabs.
