New York, I am in you. I’ll be in town for a few days. Hit me up for impromptu drinks, group-therapy sessions, globalist confabs, and other social gatherings.

The Turkish gov't (and pro-gov't media) *rightly* called BS on Saudi claims that there's no CCTV footage but claimed the same when 's falsely reported that a "group of half-naked, bandana-wearing Gezi protestors" attacked and pissed on a headscarved woman.

One must praise the Erdogan admin for deftly handling of a delicate matter, the detectives for their professionalism and the journos for their good work on L'Affaire ––and criticize them even more harshly for all the times they denied the same to their own citizens.

I don’t agree with ’s sentiment. Cctv footage showing ’s entrance to the consulate and the activity in front of the consul’s residence, and the (along with their flight and hotel info) are evidence, if not “proof,” which we may never have.

Turkey is 100% right to question Saudi Arabia aggressively about continued Jamal Khashoggi disappearance. Regardless of other policy disagreements, the US and EU have to openly stand behind Turkey. They can’t leave Turkey stranded against another, oil-buoyed regional power.

I'm a junior professional who should know better than to stir trouble for one of this industry's most senior people but sitting on the board Saudi crown prince MbS's $500 billion vanity project is someone the nuclear/nonpro community knows *very* well.

about the security system in Saudi consulate in Istanbul: Senator Corker after talking with ambassador in DC: “I’ve never ever heard of a security system like that,” Corker added. “That was pretty hard for me to believe. “

The U.S. intelligence and diplomatic communities have “duty to warn” policies under which they normally should have tried to notify Khashoggi of this threat, if deemed credible. IC policy: DoS policy:

Text from a Turkish source now, on the case: “Ankara gave Riyadh an exit at every juncture. At this point, there’s more than enough to conclude Saudi involvement. No one wants a fight. Our hope is that JK is alive in KSA—the longer this drags, the less likely it is.”

Slow, but steady, flow of information from Turkey regarding the disappearance is meant to increase pressure on the US to align with Ankara. With nearly no allies in the Middle East, Turkey wants to make sure it has America’s backing before pushing back against Riyadh

One of my favorite proverbs is that one should give Caesar his due. and I have many differences—some of which we have aired on this platform as well. His coverage of the disappearance of is impressive and he deserves all the praise that attains.
