    Erdogan appoints Yigit Bulut, Zeybekci, Hatice Karahan, Cemil Ertem to his economic policy council. Karahan aside seems a pretty unorthodoxy bunch. Before anyone asks, I was not asked to join, 😕 that might have been interesting.

  17. I am personally much more in favour of US than Iran regime, but Kurdistan cannot afford being used by US and be at the forefront of US fight against Iran, unless US guarantees longterm protection including building a permanent military base/s in Kurdistan.

    Having said that, the results won't change the reality, there will still be two zones, each ruled by who controls them: KDP and PUK. Now as Talabani family's grip on power in PUK zone further consolidated, expect more crackdown on freedoms in Sulimania.

    This is why PUK aggressively rejected the Election Commission's regulations, calling it a conspiracy against PUK. KDP succeeded in its mass fraud while PUK only managed to do limited fraud. According to unofficial results KDP has won 44 seats, PUK 21.
