    As a French journalist, I find it ironic, even disturbing, that Turkey feels so upset about the assassination of by a Saudi kill team on its soil. On 09/01/2013, 3 Kurdish women were killed in Paris by an assassin sent by MIT, the Turkish intelligence.

    People should demand “convincing explanation” from both and on fate of missing @JKhashggi forthwith. Given the repressive records of both states regarding transparency & freedom of the press, that explanation has not been given yet.

    Jamal Khashoggi did not stand up for the rights of Yemeni's or those Saudi foreign adventurism has destroyed. He was critical of many things regarding MBS but was a staunch supporter of the regime. Which makes things more complicated if he is dead.

    I wish people would stop calling a “fierce critic”. It’s actually far more concerning to think he was hardly a radical dissident, but someone with longstanding ties to Al Saud family & an establishment figure until recently. It really shows 4 MbS no one is untouchable.

    I also hope to the core that Jamal is alive, and until a body is found that hope still flickers. Fact remains that he was last seen alive entering the consulate and there don’t appear to be any images of him leaving - if, when, or how he left the premises.

    they re not terribly bright. They might have him - and i hope this is the case - but are just to self absorbed and out of touch with the reality of how this is being treated. They can't see the link to appalling human rights and almost no foreign investment in SA…

    This is apparently the Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office who's accusing the Washington Post of being a Qatari funded outlet that served as a tool of Brotherhood manipulation regarding Khashoggi's disappearance

    Translation: "From the outset, I felt there's something strange about Jamal Khashoggi's disappearance. Even the Washington Post, that's indirectly Qatari funded, left a blank space for his article. After that I was sure that there's a Muslim Brotherhood manipulation" 🤦‍♂️…

    Though if I'm Erdogan, even if I have evidence, I don't want to be out on a limb alone accusing Saudi of murder in a consulate. I'd want backing from allies, especially the US. Which in the current climate I'm not sure I'd get.
