Hey all! I'm back at it again. I've been away from my computer for about a week and a half, and I feel the need to take a small warmup commission to get back into the groove. I also have a $40 expense I need to pay today, so this way I can kill two birds with one stone.

I am offering one of two things: a sketch portrait like so for $42 or a flat colored fullbody sketch like so for $62.

You can upgrade the flat color sketch to include shading and a simple background for $20.

Rewards are being shipped out this evening for the Ruska Sigil Kickstarter! Everyone except a few smaller hand delivery things and the 'one of everything' tier should go out this evening (the $90 tier is a bit delayed because I'm not yet done with all of the sketches, and I have to figure out how best to pack the paper materials so that they don't get bent in transit).

COMMISSION UPDATE

I am out of town this week for a concert and family gathering, so all of my focus will be on traditional artwork while I'm away from my computer. Earliest I'll be able to work on digital stuff again is likely this upcoming Monday.

The full version is Inkmaven, just as it's spelled on the account. One word, like Redwall or Firepaw. Ink Maven is incorrect, as is InkMaven. It's a common fantasy naming convention. For example, You'd never type out RiverWood or WormTail.

Hey guys. I haven't been in the best emotional health since the end of BLFC, I'm taking things slow and trying to be productive but it's affecting my usual flow. As such, I'm going to try to take today to work on owed commissions and will not be doing a sketch stream.

I may still stream today, but it will be working on queued work.

Hey all! I took a couple sick days this week unfortunately, but I'm back at it again and in good health finally (I think). If you're a kickstarter backer you hopefully saw the update: I will be shipping out shirts soon!

But that got me thinking, I really need to get around to branding myself professionally, designing a logo/business name etc. The first place to start here is probably with a general vibe that I want to capture. It's hard for me to look at my own work and be like 'yes it is x and y', so I'm turning to you guys.

When you see my art, what kinds of adjectives would you use to describe it? What sets my work aside from other artists? If you had to describe my work to someone who had never seen it, and you couldn't actually show them, what would you say?

I'm very low on energy today but I still want to do a Friday stream. I'll probably only be taking three slots this time.

Hey all! I am back from BLFC.

I've been to furry conventions before, I've done artist's alleys before, but this was my first experience being in the den: and I have got to say, what an awesome experience it was. Thank you to every single one of you who stopped by my table, bought something, gave me a watch afterward, or even just stopped to chat! The more and more involved in this community I get the more and more I meet sweet people, come across awesome artists, and get to know my commissioners a bit better. I made enough profit this year that next year, provided I'm able to get into the den, I will be able to attend again and I'm really looking forward to it! you will also be seeing me at FM and MFF this year. From here on out I'll be keeping a con schedule on my FA profile. I really hope I can start going to cons that are further away, but we'll see!

WORK SCHEDULE/ QUEUE

My trello has been updated with BLFC work. From here on out, I will be spending at least two days a week on regular commission work, two days on BLFC work (will be likely alternating between the two) with Fridays still reserved for in-Stream commission work. Weekends I am usually out of town or busy, but any time I can spare will also be used for commission work there as well.

So BLFC was a blast today! I thoroughly enjoyed my den experience and I really appreciate all who stopped by. Also the new watchers! Hello everyone!

I got so many complimentary and encouraging comments on my stuff today. I really cannot stress enough how amazing working with and for this fandom has been. I hope to work out some sketches, get a good night's rest, and have a fresh start tomorrow.

I have something to get done today that is a bit time sensitive. I still intend to do a Friday stream, but it will likely be a few hours later than usual. I wish I could give you all an exact time I plan to start but that entirely depends on how long my errands take.

This however might help some of you who are busy during the day grab a slot, as I should be working into the evening my time, when people arrive home from work.

A good friend of mine had a last minute room opening and I managed to get some space in the Dealer's Den so I will officially be attending BLFC this year. As I'm still fairly new to vending at furry events, I wasn't planning to go to a con so far away from where I live but it worked out and I'm really excited. Please bear with me as I get myself organised!

A small note also my prices raised a little in response to an increased level of time and detail on my end. I want to make sure I'm not downgrading the quality, so I increased cost to compensate so I don't run myself ragged.

Can't sleep because I was struck with this new character concept and now he's all I can think about.

Fairly chill, is a bouncer and DJ for Portia's club. The kind of dude who would wear a plain black too-tight t-shirt to show off his pecs. Works out, helps him look intimidating and scare people into behaving, but isn't afraid to rough them up a little if he needs to get a point across. Not inherently violent though. A bit of a gentle giant otherwise.

Colors are dark and subdued. Navy probably.

I need name/species suggestions! Trying to find something that would fit his thick/muscular body type without being stereotypical or 'typecasting'.

I'm feelin really down right now, I kind of want something small to perk me up and get me out of this rut so I can keep working again. I think a trade would be great, that way I can not only give something/have a change of pace, but also get something, too.

Since the maker of my ref sheet stopped doing work, I've been low key looking for artists to do full color pinups of Ink. Tasteful stuff, probably not even nude, just pretty, graceful, possibly feminine/demiure poses on larger pieces of paper (8x10, 9x12 or so)

Know of anyone who does work like this? I have a few people on my list, but I'd like to know of others.
Not looking to commission right now probably, just storing away info for later.

I've been slowly making an attempt to stream more, including also taking in-stream commissions. Friday seemed to work very well, are there other days that work well for people? I'd like to find at least one more day.

Tried my friends out, played his BotW which was actually a lot better than I was expecting. It pretty much lives up to the hype, at least in the part I played through.

However, practically everywhere is sold out?? Even Amazon seems to only have scam listings up currently and I'm sad I can't find one anywhere. Literally anywhere. Even online.

Anyone know of any non-major retailers who might have one, or something??

Okay So. Here's the deal. I have a problem.

I have a backer on the kickstarter who needs to pull out (the one who backed the most expensive tier). We'll be about $650 short of the goal, which means the kickstarter will go unfunded (even though it's been fully funded since day 2).

SO. In order to make a last minute attempt to rectify this, I am offering a special:

Anyone between now and the end of the kickstarter who backs the $90 tier (1 shirt, 1 sticker, 1 print of the piece, bristol board sketch) will have their bristol sketch turned into a Bronze level Illustration. (Essentially adding digital color and painting on top of the pencil sketch base). Art would be at least this quality: example 1 example 2

For a single character and no background, Bronze Illustrations START at $80, so essentially you're getting a full illustration, a shirt, a sticker, and a poster for only $10 more than the cost of the illustration itself (plus I will mail you the original sketch with your backer rewards!) So it's a really good deal, and a great way to get art from me while I'm technically closed for commission work currently.

I am home from my two back to back conventions but thoroughly exhausted, please excuse the mess and slowness while I reorient myself and come down off of this anxious high. The second convention I was at we presented our student game for a competition and won an award! But that meant me being high-strung all week while we practiced and stressed about not knowing the venue, setup, etc. so I'm needing to catch up on sleep and just relax for a little while.

Dance of Plenty is fairly close to being done and will continue to be my main priority, other than that I have a few sketch stragglers left over from F2 that I need to finish--those will be done this upcoming weekend while I am again out of town so if you commissioned me there and are still waiting it'll be about a week and I should have them shipped out to you.

I have a bit of a waitlist queued up currently and when I reopen, those people holding a waitlist spot will be bumped up to my queue in whatever order funds are sent. I will prompt those on my waitlist for funds when I am available again.

My Kickstarter is running until the 22nd and fully funded now, however as my minimum order is 100 shirts and I only have about 30 backers requesting them, I have a LOT left that need to find homes so if you're interested in one consider pledging! At this point it's guaranteed that you will get your backer reward.
