infinite. the answer to that question is literally "infinite."
Or to put it another way, the correlations they're citing are not surprising or unusual. It's not like they must be ignored or that selective ignorance is necessary for rationality - it's just that taking them into account doesn't make Q's claims any more likely. If there were a bunch of truly unusual things that are more likely if Q's claims were true, that would be evidence to support Q's claims.
In other words, their claims that these coincidences are significant are false. This is the basic failing of numerology in general. You can find these sorts of connections just as easily between any two things. So their existence doesn't make this claim any more likely than any other.
Well the failing is general methodology. If you want to find something out, you form your hypothesis, figure out what the consequences would be if it's true, and most importanlty form a 'null hypothesis' - what'd be the case if isn't true , then you go observe and decide which one matches the facts better.
The conspiracy theorists decide what they want to believe and go out finding stuff to support that view. They cherry-pick, ignoring stuff that doesn't fit. But not only that, they've do not think out anything beforehand so things that they wouldn't even conceive of as 'evidence' becomes it as they find it.
So the former would be to ask "Does Trump signal stuff with the number 17?" and you could go out and measure if he mentions it more since he became president and whether that's statistically significant and so on. Whereas these guys aren't testing shit. Trump said 17, someone noticed it's the 17th letter and therefore proof. If it'd been another number they'd just keep looking until they find something else, and form a new hypothesis around it when they find it.
Or they look at the twin towers coming down and decide that, in their layman eyes, it looks 'wrong'. And they go out and find other people who agree with them. They do not go and learn construction engineering and find out what one would actually expect the collapse to look like.
It's a total failure of the education system that people indulge in this, and tolerate people indulging in it. We all succumb to bias sometimes but there's a hell of a difference between that and failing to recognize completely flawed thinking.
Sure. Good methodology is how you implement the understanding that you're only fooling yourself if you cherry-pick things that look like confirmation without accounting for everything else as well. It's easy to fool yourself if you want to be fooled. And some people really want to be fooled.

If I ever decide to do drugs, I’ve always thought I’d try LSD because it seems the most interesting, especially since some studies are showing it having potentially beneficial effects to the psyche and mental health in general.
