Russian MoD: Israeli jets used Russian plane as cover, only 1 minute advance warning. Objective of attack: put Syrian Air Defense at risk of aiming at Russian plane and influence public opinion in Russia. France supported confusion by firing missiles in coordination with Israel.

I believe that Syria is one of or the strongest ally of Russia in the ME. I think ultimately this was a case of the Western coalition abusing Israel's relationship with RU & creating turmoil. IDK what happened between you and ejmalrai but I really hope RU doesn't give up on Syria
