昭和39年8月9日生まれ，宜野湾市真志喜出身。2001年宜野湾市議会議員に初当選(2期)、2006年県議会議員当選(2期)、2012年第16代宜野湾市長当選。2018年8月14日、市長の辞表を提出し次期沖縄県知事選へ出馬を表明。普天間高校野球部，大学では空手部主将。基地問題を次の世代に引き継がない！

        これだけで応援する気が無くなる公約だな。プロスポーツチームが既に複数あるのに何故「プロ野球」を誘致するんだろう。 NPBは間違いなく来ない。 独立リーグだとしたら惨状ご存知ですかね。

        ホリエモンが言ってましたが、民放のテレビ局同様、球団が増えれば一球団あたりの収益が減るので、球団は絶対に増えないそうです。

        あーそういうのもあるんですね。 予想以上に根っこは深いですね。 まぁ、だからこそプロ野球誘致とかいう自らの公約の信ぴょう性を下げる行為はして欲しくなかった。

        ODLだったのですか？その方がプロ野球よりも携帯代の4割削減よりも実現可能だったかもですね。普天間飛行場が無くなればですけれど‥こんなひどい「釣り公約」に騙される人がいるのでしょうか？当選しちゃえば知らん顔ってのは悪党政権のお家芸。

        さきまさん凄い約束してるよ。 携帯料金4割下げるし、沖縄にプロ野球チーム作っちゃうよ。 それって、県民税で携帯料金補填して、プロ野球チームと野球場持つのかな。 やっぱり最近はドーム球場だよね。 県民税は増税するのかな。 観光客には入湯税ならぬ入県税とか税収アップを考えないと。
