    As I said on Discord: a) This lines up with the UI of the second image + a DLC/custom stage screen toggle; b) This is a popular magazine that likely has a large team of editors to slip through; & c) even if it's still promotional material, this isn't a protective Nintendo source.

    just was sent this, could be fake (so don't take this too close to heart) but corocoro apparently leaked and states 108 stages total? that fits perfectly with the stage UI shown if it's 5 stages and the DLC stage list slot. this should line up with the newcomer count.

    The recent Box theory with the boxart showing only several more slots and pattern breaking around where ken would be is actually a really good find. BUT. keep in mind people in art design and marketing positions are NOT given all material. they don't know how many are left. 1/2
