This is ridiculous.

Hi Richard, this tweet follows an earlier one where we discussed hate crimes. Hate incidents can escalate into crimes & we want to work with partners to try & prevent this from happening. More about this is on our website:https://www.southyorks.police.uk/find-out/crime-prevention-advice/hate-crime/ …

Why are you not focusing on ACTUAL crimes that have been committed? If someone reports a non-crime what will happen? What authority do you have to uphold non-laws? Please answer.
-
I assume although this comment has nearly 80 likes, nobody from the force is going to even attempt to respond. No wonder there is no faith in the Police anymore.
-
Because as I've experienced. Real crimes are "civil matters". They just can't be bothered to deal with real criminals.
-
Isn't this a bit like the minority report movie?

Oh really? Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me, learnt when we were about 4 years old

Hi Neil, while non-crime hate incidents may not be criminal offences, they can feel that way to those affected & can sometimes escalate to crimes taking place. We work with partners to try & prevent this. More info on our website:https://www.southyorks.police.uk/find-out/crime-prevention-advice/hate-crime/ …

This hadn’t been thought through properly at all. I can imagine e your frontline officers, already overworked, reading that tweet and staring miserably at their workload on the computer, desperately trying to remember why they joined the job.

Hi Wayne, this tweet followed an earlier one about hate crimes. We encourage people to report these incidents as they can escalate into crimes & we want to work with partners to prevent this happening. If it takes as long to sort these crimes as it took to even start action against the groomers, we will be in a right sorry state, because for a start will we be believed , and if we are believed will it be covered up, I am sorry but action is needed and honesty
-
See they didn't respond to that question did they?
-
Same as mine
-
They appear to have a canned answer for anyone they do respond to.
-
Well then that explains it , it matches their canned response time as well. Oh and they lost the can opener in case they opened a can of worms
