Here's the thing, what kind position are you hoping for? Are you hoping to be a "real teacher" as in, teaching all on your own, potentially being a homeroom teacher? If so, then you will probably need to become a certified teacher in your own country and then work for an international school, or you will have to get certified as a teaching in Japan.
If you want to do something similar to what you did on JET, but maybe with more responsibility. Having TESOL, either a certification or a Masters, will definitely make you more attractive, but it's really not necessary.
Also, a lot of private schools hire teachers via dispatch, which is a mix bagged in and of itself. Plus, private schools are very varied in how they teach English, there are some schools that have very intensive English programs with the students being very proficient, to schools that take in kids who couldn't get into any other kind of high school and do the bare minimum.
I started working at my current school through a dispatch company and since I enjoyed working there and stayed for a long time and they liked me, they offered to hire me directly. This is IMHO the "best" way, as if you start via dispatch if you have issues with the school it's easier to get out.
How long were you at the school before they offered to hire you directly?
Hilarious that Gu Li's AlphaGo wanted to resign 3 times but Gu Li's like "nope."
Gu Li's AlphaGo only asked twice. On the second time, he agreed.
Redmond suggested it would be funny if that happened.
Can soneone tell me why white didnt play 10,15 10,16 10,18 11,17 connect and kill the tree stones at 8,14?
Edit: Never Mind. black has sente to make bamboo joint.
I can't find that Yuta posted about it on Facebook. If you link to that I can tell you what he said at least.
He didn't say anything about it. He just posted a link to it.
Platform(s): I'm not too sure which system it was on. It could have been either Gameboy Advanced or Gameboy Color. Genre: RPG/Fantasy/ Estimated year of release: Not sure when the game came out as I was a kid when I played it, sorry. Graphics/art style: Topdown, Similar to old FinalFantasy games. Notable characters: Slime, Pirate, various other monsters. Notable gameplay mechanics: I think the game revolved around an Island that you needed to get various keys to access new areas. In an area, you would find monsters and either beat them or try to tame them to join your group. Your monsters would follow the character. There was a monster breeding mechanic I believe. Not sure about this, but I think the Island was slowly sinking or flooding and you were trying to save it. Other details: Thank you in advance for any help.
Based on that plot description, this has gotta be Dragon Warrior Monsters 2.
You are completly right! Thank you sooo much!
So I have imagus which allows me to hover over a link and see the image. You just made crome run out of memory. Well done.
haha sorry! I got one that's about a thousands pics stitched together, I think they gotta use a special viewer for something like that. the pool room is just 7 shots.
No problem. I found it hilarious!
I'm down. I'll pm you with my steam name. Got to buy the game though.
Is there going to be an option to flip the board after a game and watch all the stones go flying?
Nice choice. Happy birthday!
Thank you!
Firstly, thank you for the reply. The Japanese form of writing looks very beautiful. Well if you want a few suggestions for purples as it is my favourite colour also. First would be Noodler's Purple Wampum, you also mentioned Diamine I have two purples from them as well, Imperial Purple and Grape. Both are great but Noodler's Purple is more rich.
Thank you for that reply as well. Personally, the next ink color I will want to get is something green. But not just any green, I would like something that is like an emerald green. Something that really pops. You wouldn't happen to know a recommendation for that would you?

Tiana is a very niche monster though, and she is ONLY good for PvP. Like one of the comments you showed, she needs her speed to fit just right into a team for her to be good. She was the first nat 5 I got over half a year ago and I still don't use her. She doesn't help in dungeons and I am still in fighter in arena. I know she can get really good later on, but for early through mid game, she is basically useless.
Lategame PvP she is a goddess though.
I specified she was good lategame. I'm not saying she is a bad monster, I'm saying you can't use her early to midgame.
This seems like a really good idea to me. I have been watching it for a bit and I enjoy it. I do think there should be a way to mute or change the volume though. I might want to play a game while this is on my second monitor but the sound could be distracting.
either a bookbag with it sandwitched between two books, or carry it in your hand. really the only two options. rolling it up is a recipe for a messed up magic rack.
If you like those, make sure to save them, NHK could pull them anytime.
How would you go about saving this video?
You can use a website like this one: http://keepvid.com/
Thank you. It worked well.
I would like to join this, Hunterkane (13k)(kgs) Hunterkane(13-14k)(ogs). Friday and saturday would work for me even when I go back to college. Its 3pm for my timezone and my last class is at 12:15pm.
I am having trouble getting past this plateu that I seem to be on. I was wondering what knowledge about the game do you need to become 1k? Fuseki, joseki, what are bad moves, and such. What should I be learning to reach that goal. I am sorry if this is a weird request, but I could use the help. Thanks.
Is your tag your actual strength?
My tag is my ranking on kgs.
then, 1k is too distant a goal. I'm twice as close and 1k is too distant even for me. Focus on the near steps. The distant goal obscures what you really need. Fundamentals. Look toward 10 and 11k for now. 1k is yet beyond us
I didn't mean the question to be that i would jump straight to 1k, i was just looking to see what was needed so i wasn't just searching in the dark for what i need to work on.

http://eidogo.com/#sg3ULrlk This is a game I played a while ago. I thought it went well but I felt I should have done better. I was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me get better at this game. Thanks.
There are two things that you might want to work on.
First, learn about sente and gote. What you want to do, is to play sente moves first, then play a big gote move. In this game, in the endgame you again and again played very small, very slow gote moves while there still were sente moves on the board. Once you learn to recognize sente moves and look for them, you will instantly improve very much, I'm sure of it.
Second, you did a very strange thing that many other new players do. You waited until there were (almost) no more endgame moves, until both players completely solidified their territory and then you played the 3-3 invasion. You absolutely did not deserve to live there. The opponent messed up, you deserved to die. (OK, maybe not the best choice of words there.) If you ever intend to play the 3-3 invasion (or any invasion, really), don't wait until the very end of the game. Play it while the position is still vulnerable, while there's still aji. I am not sure when was the perfect time to play that 3-3 in this game, but you easily could have played it at around move 124, maybe earlier.
There were other simple errors, strange joseki choices. (Look at moves 166, 126, 178.) I think the most important thing for you will be to learn about sente and gote, though.
Thank you, I have been trying to notice sente more often though i'm not too good at it yet as I dont know what moves might be sente. Other than those moves on the first line when solidifying territory and you can tell which moves you will need to fix or not, leading to sente. Do you know of any good resorces for learning sente and gote?
I fully expected to die in that 3-3 invasion. It was quite the jerk move for me to even attempt to play it. I just saw that it was possible to cut off that group and he missed it.
I also have not looked into joseki at all. That would be why those moves look weird. I don't know when would be a good time to start studying joseki. I felt I should get stronger before I focused on joseki, maybe i'm wrong.
It would be fine to try the 3-3 invasion earlier, when you had a realistic chance of getting something there. The corner was not fully black's.
I can't think of a single good resource for learning about sente/gote. Of course you can always try Sensei's library. There are lost of links and sample positions, but it doesn't seem all that great, there may exist better materials to learn from.
Look at the position from the game. Triangles are now sente for W (at least if we pretend the rest of the board doesn't exist), squares are gote. Can you see why?
I don't think you need to know many joseki. You certainly don't want to waste your time on anything complicated right now. If you learn the first 3-4 sequences from this page I think it will be enough for some time. (The page is called "Joseki Every DDK Should Know", but this is misleading, you don't have to know every one of them at this point.)
Thank you I will definately read those.

I enjoy my poison cue quite a bit. It comes with the venom shaft which plays pretty good. I have a friend that plays with an Arsenic and personaly I don't see any difference. They share the same shaft and joint except mine was half the price of his. I would recommend them.
I just recently got a poison bolt 3 pool cue. it is a great cue and i really like the venom shaft. there is an adjustment period though if you have been using a cue that has a solid wood shaft. most solid wood shaftes like what come on a players cue are heavier slightly. the way that the venom shaft is made it has another peice of wood in the shaft. its a lighter wood and its what makes it a low deflection shaft. it was a surprise to me that it felt lighter but i have since adjusted and it plays very well.
That is very nicely made. I wonder how someone would go about making that and if you could make it 19x19. It could be a cheap and neat alternative for people who can't afford a good go setup.

I dunno about that. Lego isn't kaya but it's not cheap, either. It's only a 10x10 board yet it cost Joe several hundred dollars plus time, so a cheap player might do better with another material.
If I had the time, I would do this for the experience and the "wow" factor. I am blown away by this. Had never heard of that style of smooth-faced Lego construction before.
Yes, I posted this before I knew how much it cost. Knowing how much it took to make it, it is obvious that you would be better off getting a cheap board. It still has the wow factor and is an interesting idea, but it is not good for saving money.
