    Update5: SANA also confirmed that Banias' explosion was a result of an Israeli airstrike, eight civilians were injured as a result. According to a local source Israeli warplanes attacked an empty building of the Syrian Defense Factories.

    All reports of Iranian positions in Tartus province are completely false, only Iranian positions in the Syria coast are in Lattkia province, nothing in Tartus. However, there is many Russian positions in Banias.

    It’s not in Syria’s interest to retake all of Idlib province in the short run. A containment zone must remain until an organized political settlement can be reached that guarantees addressing of certain grievances as radical elements are methodically dismantled.
