Don't they have to actually prove knowledge of the minor's status, @BoozyBadger ?
It'd be weird if they could jail someone for chatting up someone in an age-verified bar...

Also,
@BoozyBadger probably wouldn't touch us with a 10-meter pole. And, truth be told, we don't blame him. This stuff is messed up. On top of that, it falls into a realm of heavy opinion. People can be outright hostile in this regard. -
Someone asked me about this a while back. Without knowledge of the situation and parties, or access to any of the court documents, I’m hesitant to give an opinion on such a heavily charged topic simply because I don’t know what was and wasn’t presented to the court and without/1

knowing what was actually before the court I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving an opinion on a case that was fully tried, especially when that opinion could inadvertently cause harm to Sisk in regards to any court restrictions they may have right now. /2

It sounds strange, but I would hate to say something, have someone press it, and end up making the situation worse, especially when I can’t access even the basic details of the case from the court to see any docket history.

We understand. The harsh truth of this matter is that everything surrounding it is delicate. Sisk was even made the subject of a brutal police interrogation simply for having friends raise money for legal counsel on her behalf. And we mean brutal; The kind that leaves scars.

What's done is done, sadly. And aside from a miracle, all we can hope to do is support her through her sentence and tell her story as a cautionary tale.

Also, if it wasn't clear, we really do respect your position on this. Our tweet about you not getting involved was the result of our regular gallows humour that gets us through the worst of it. We meant no offence.
