Seems logical to me that civilians would want Turkish army to defend them from all out onslaught by regime and to be rid of those who invite impending bloodbath. But am no expert on Idlib's politics.

Sounds legit to me. I think for many in Idlib, Turkish army is perceived to be a saviour against an impending Syrian/Russian military assault.

I can't speak to the authenticity of these photos Amberin. This is a plausible sentiment though as that would be the only formula that would protect the population from violence (by jettisoning HTS) without bringing them under regime rule.
