    Ovviamente i 5S arrivarono più tardi a cavalcare la protesta NIMBY e quindi si sentono esonerati da responsabilità. Ma cosa dovremmo dire del ministro che per ideologia definisce la Gronda "inutile" 15 giorni prima del crollo dell'unico viadotto? Che è uno stratega lungimirante?

    Del resto in una città dove per diventare sindaco basta superare quota 140mila voti tutte le Amministrazioni preferivano glissare ed essere passive su un tema dormiente che però prometteva di diventare molto polarizzante all'apertura del primo cantiere e costare pacchetti di voti

    C'erano pure i soldi, stanziati per le Colombiane 1992, ma la campagna NIMBY fu fortissima. Il 2 marzo 1992 il Consiglio comunale di Genova votò contro all'unanimità e quello fu il precedente che pesò su tutte le versioni seguenti del progetto – che presero il nome di "Gronda"

    Dire che "tanto la Gronda sarebbe stata pronta nel 2030" è come non riconoscere il sindaco: tradisce scarsa dimestichezza con Genova. Il primo progetto faceva parte del Piano Regolatore Generale adottato nel 1976 e approvato con vigore di legge dalla Regione Liguria nel 1980

    Vedo che gente che parla di "revoca della concessione" come se fosse un fatto compiuto. "Il pugno duro del governo". In questo momento la revoca della concessione ha la stessa probabilità di riuscita dell'impeachment contro Sergio Mattarella

    It is underappreciated how important NIMBY-ism was to the early “meetup era” Five-Star Movement. Grillo’s blog provided a platform to aggregate activism at very local level, and opposition to any kind of infrastructure was all included in a big environmentalist umbrella.

    Just a note for foreign journalists. The populist party Five Stars already removed the webpage where in April 2013 they had defined the risk of collapse of that segment of highway in Genoa "a fairytale" – because of their ideological and fanatical aversion to new infrastructures

    For years, many have been discussing the construction of a new stretch of highway around Genoa, alternative to the one that has collapsed so disastrously today (not far from home). The populist party 5s - which is currently in government - has always been against the project.

    Abu Faysal is married to a relative of Abu Loqman (a big one of Islamic State, Wali of Raqqa then Emir of West Aleppo then Emir of Syria). Abu Faysal was recently released by SDF and now lives in a village south of Raqqa, protected by his own tribe according to the investigation
