      思えば、ぼくのＮＨＫでのディレクター人生のかなりの部分が「報道」セクションとの不毛な戦いに費やされてきた気がする。政治部はいうに及ばず…ともかく、体質的に相容れないものがあった（必ずしも「政権との距離感」の問題だけではない）。

      なぜぼくが「報道」セクションをそこまで嫌うのか、外部の人に解っていただくのはまず至難だろう。平たくいうなら「報道帝国主義」（…平たすぎるかw）+事大主義的体質。先日ある後輩プロデューサーがボヤいていたが、予算が国会で承認を受ける仕組みがある限りＮＨＫの体質は変わらないだろうな、と。

      ＮＨＫが公共放送である限り、公共性の観点からチェックを入れる必要があるのはいうまでもないこと。しかし、そのチェックの主体は政治から距離を置くべきではないか、と。「ETV2001」番組改ざん事件のときも散々言われたことだが、政府自民党が予算を“人質”に報道内容に干渉するのはたやすいことだ。

      「報道」セクションの体質に対する怒りや不信感が政権への距離感だけではないと書いた理由は、例えば福島原発事故の直後、ＥＴＶ特集「ネットワークで作る放射能汚染地図」を制作し、あらゆる賞を総ナメにした同僚が、著書のあとがきで報道セクションによる取材妨害を赤裸々に暴露した件も関係する。

      ぼくが福島関係のＮスペを作ったときのこと、「報道」セクションから一緒にやらせろという話が出て、内心（だけ？）嫌だなあ…と思っていたが、やがて沙汰止みになった。後で聞いた話では、現場の記者が「あんなヤクザみたいな人と一緒にやりたくない」と言ったとのこと。怒るべきか、感謝すべきか…w
