Playing this "both sides are wrong" game favors the nazis, and insisting that we tolerate them does, too.pic.twitter.com/gco7OEeFxp

And you're so concerned with trying to get away from them that you'd rather hop on the "look at these liberals politicizing furry conventions, shame on them" bandwagon than actually fight to keep furry conventions a safe space for people like us whose very existence is political.
-
When I also mentioned pins and armbands in the very same tweet, it included those tasteless 'Antifa furs fuck off pins' from the 'alt furries' and those godawful paw print arm bands. Please do not resort to deliberate intellectual dishonesty. Thank you <3

Which is when you dipped briefly into "both sides are equally wrong!" rhetoric the first time.

And then quickly went on to focus on the ribbons again.

So wait.. you *want* people to be able to call you slurs without repercussion at conventions?
-
How the actual fuck did you interpret that from *anything* they just said
-
This is literally what altfurries want. They hate political correctness and the policing of their language and politics at conventions.
-
That's great and all, but they kinda specifically mentioned cons should ban Nazi's, and then just not politicise the convention, so people can get away from politics for a couple days
-
What does that even mean? How do you not politicise something? Do you just censor people's complaints and sweep them under a rug? Do you ban all forms of political expression entirely?
-
Maybe start by not having the actual staff hand out political ribbons and mention that an entire political party isn't welcome. Not Nazi's, not alt-right, the entire right. They were mentioned. That'd be a start. Let's go from there.
-
And then, an eerie silence fell on this thread. I'm curious if there's any legitimate retort to this that doesn't contain strawman arguments or wild accusations.
