It took 6 weeks to DIY Full Front PPF and Cquartz Ceramic! The paint condition was horrible on delivery. Most I didn't notice until I got home. Major props to anyone who does this for a living! I will never do this again!

Good to know! What what your total cost of materials?

Didn't really keep track but roughly $1k. The PPF kit was $675. I had to redo my first PPF attempt which was the fender which was $99. It's finished with Carpro Essence, Cquartz, Carpro Gliss and reload. It also has CarproFly By 30 ceramic on the windshield. Doesnt include cost of Polisher Kit which was like $200ish. Locally it would have cost $3k for a professional which would have been worth it given the time and stress of it all. Most of the stuff that kepte up at night was the horrible paint condition it was in. Pretty sure there was paint over spray over the entire car.

What do you mean the paint condition was horrible on delivery? I took delivery on Friday and noticed the paint was really “soft”. I had a few rock chips in the first day. The second day I was able to find an installer to do a PPF wrap for the front to get it protected.

First sign was 3 2" clear coat scratches right next to the rear logo. I couldn't completely correct it. I was so pissed they didn't see that before I did. It was very very clear to see.

There was thick paint runs on the passenger rocket panel.

There was excess wax everywhere which means an amateur waxed it.

There was scratches on the front wheel well.

There are dust nibs which means dust was in the paint area at the factory.

When I finally got home to inspecting it under a flash light there was paint swirls and spider webs everywhere as if the person who waxed it used a very strong correcting pad or something.

I thought maybe I parked next to a tree dripping sap because there were very tiny bumps in the ppaasenger door. It was impossible to remove. As I continued the correction process I noticed the same bumps everywhere including areas where sap couldn't even get to if I was parked under something. If it was sap it would have been gone away based on everything I did to try to make it go away.
