    Because I criticized the Ambassador, only fair to tweet his reply. Paid or not, the piece reads that way. And with the deep enmeshing of politics and economics in AKP Turkey, would be better to err even further on the side of caution.

    And to think, it could have all been avoided by just going what normal Western democracies do, and, you know, not proposed a military parade.

    The military parade is a perfect shorthand for the essential futility of the American empire in its late stages. Vanity, partisanship, interagency meetings run amok, incoherent struggles among levels and units of government, and in the end, nothing happens anyway.

    So, the logic: 1) Did not advance further in the playoffs. 2) Convinced Wall to become the biggest albatross contract in the league. 3) Wizards' front office so bad, 1st rd picks don't matter. Lol.
