    It’s sad how horrible things in life are so quickly normalized. Families in Syria are still receiving death certificates for their loved ones who were arrested years ago. It’s just become so routine, it no longer draws attention.

    Agreed that this is not a new practice, particularly if journos visited Muslim-majority countries, but detention & interrogation of Israeli leftists is not something that occurred with such frequency before.

    This may be an unpopular view on the left but I'm not entirely convinced that Israel has suddenly and radically changed its border-control policy towards Jewish activists and journalists, critical of Israeli policies. Am basing this both on anecdotal evidence and…
