  14. Understandably, a similarly nuanced context to debate such issues without polarization might be lacking. The way Boris Jonson raised the issue is exactly what's wrong here, but equally wrong is to normalize the niqab & pretend it's all cool and part of mainstream Islam. It is not

  15. Another example was whether ISIS had anything to do with Islam/traditions. In the region, that wasn't a question. Many recognized the similarities -- one Saudi said 'this is what we studied at schools', and others in Egypt, Syria & beyond pointed out historical/textual parallels.
