Abu Faysal is married to a relative of Abu Loqman (a big one of Islamic State, Wali of Raqqa then Emir of West Aleppo then Emir of Syria). Abu Faysal was recently released by SDF and now lives in a village south of Raqqa, protected by his own tribe according to the investigation

Interesting investigation by Italian TV () in Raqqa about the kidnapping of Father Paolo Dall'Oglio in 2014. Dall'Oglio was received inside the governor palace by this emir of the Islamic State, Abdul Rahman al Faysal aka "Abu Faysal", in charge of repression & jail

They are dissipating resources in campaigns they can't win. They are going to be crushed in Hauran and after they untimely poked their local enemies around Idlib they are going to be wiped off there – raid after raid

Islamic State putting up resistance inside the Hauran pocket in the South and launching hit-and-run attacks around Idlib. They are not blending in and waiting for better times. In theory, it's the opposite of the "economy of force" policy they pursued after the fall of Mosul

We didn't see a confirmed picture of the face of Abu Ali al Anbari until May 2016. Now they are coming to the surface regularly [Islamic State preacher and ideologue, active before Saddam Hussein's fall, deputy of Zarqawi and Baghdadi]

Can't vouch for this – alleges that the column of the Islamic State massacring Druze people in al Suwayda today is the same evacuated from Yarmouk camp area in southern Damascus in May

Quite pale, like he had spent months inside the sparse houses used by the Islamic State in Idlib countryside. Interesting how a big name like him quietly reached Idlib and linked up with local members

Tamaz aka "Abu Sa'id al Shishani" deputy of an Islamic State cell in Idlib region and brother of Umar al Shishani, recently killed in a raid by HTS – via multiple sources, and among them

Also, this. We know there is a senior leader of the Islamic State suspected of hiding in Scandinavia, Abu Tiba Ghaneem al Jubouri. The big talks about a great attack in Sweden make me think he is not in Sweden

They weren't Swedish – we don't know – but they had a strong interest in Sweden

Speculation time: Coalition seems to dismantle cell by cell following the nationality factor, Sweden this time. They get one, they get the rest – sometimes. I'd say it already happened with a French speaking network in Raqqa and with a Balkan group in the Euphrates corridor

"Simak", "Abu Awf", "Abu Quddamah". Latest statement by U.S. led Coalition about the killing of six high value targets of the Islamic State is too generic and almost useless. Hopefully we'll connect this statement to other pieces of info, sooner or later.

CORRECTION: Italian Minister does not stop in Benghazi after Tripoli and Misrata – not repeating the exploit of French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, who held talks in Tripoli, Misrata and Benghazi yesterday

Now we can see the two great Wilaya, but we don't know yet who are the two Wali. The Islamic State already had a general leader for Iraq and a general leader for Syria, maybe they survived both the administrative reshuffle and the airstrikes, maybe Baghdadi appointed new people

    • We are going to see videos generically marked "al Iraq", like in the old times • This decision can only come from Abu Bakr al Baghdadi and first involved some direct or indirect conversation with other leaders

The transition is real. Islamic State replaced dozens of Wilaya with two great generic Wilaya, "al Iraq" and "al Sham". Here an instance: was "Wilaya Hauran" last Thursday (it was created recently: on July 10), since yesterday is "Wilaya al Sham – Hauran"
