This interview is exxagerated with some fantasy in it. Its propaganda and am sure even Aymenn recognizes it. How could they tell they were on drugs when they only had access to "so called corpses"? From the tone of the interviewee you can tell he is looking for sympathy

Yes, I agree. Sometimes in interviews it’s best to note the subtle give always: e.g. when he says the Syrian army did not participate in the battles.

Subtle give aways*

Was it conducted in English? Otherwise, how do you say "good afternoon" in Arabic?
-
يسعد مساك (I know that’s not the literal equivalent but it is an idiomatic equivalent)
-
I didn't know !

Ayman what is your obsession with the Druze in South SAR about??
-
Similar to my obsession over the Yarmouk Basin, Jabal al-Summaq, Sanamayn, Kanaker and other seemingly random towns. All places with established connections with North Korean lemmings.

Thank you very much - the sole reasonable voice. Is it true that Rijal al-Karama does not want the SAA to control the security situation in Suwayda' and how can it be they anyway blame the government when they fail miserable to provide security themselves ?
-
As Rania wrote: The Syrian govt let the Druze have their own security and didnt meddle to appease them. Sweida was a smuggeling hub for goods from Daraa to the Desert/al Tanf and back. Its short-sighted to blame the Syrian govt for doing what the Druze wanted themselves.
-
The delegation of security to local factions is well known.

Good interview questions and the Sheikh was very honest and concise.

“All attackers killed & annihilated”!!! Then how they managed to capture tens of civilians? He’s a little utopian.

I think Rania's account of events (bad security, smuggling hub) is closer to the truth than his.https://twitter.com/RaniaKhalek/status/1022574073715548165 …

@RaniaKhalek reporting seems more legit and closer to the truth.@ajaltamimi your man's version is only for the gullible and the naive -
To dismiss out of hand, and in their entirety, the comments of a person with first hand experience only shines the spotlight on our predispositions, Talon.
-
The flaw is in not havin a 1st hand experience with said subjects, orgs or society, thus being opened to deception, leading to the confusion in judgement about predisposition. Even the interviewer acknowledges the bad story telling of the so called person with 1st hand experience
-
That is true, Talon. There is very little I take at face value, but it is pretty rare to read something that is 100% garbage (other than western media, humanitarian organisations, politicians, the military and think tanks, of course).
-
Haha. Nosdorovia my friend

Congratulations, Tal, you've beaten Google Translate.
