: Talk that Israel's demand for Iran to leave Syria could be achieved by a Saudi - UAE recommendation that sanctions against Russia be lifted. This selfish suggestion ignores Ukraine, Crimea, MH-17 and the use of nerve gas in England. .

Russia has maintained Assad in power & has itself perpetrated hundreds of warcrimes, bombed hospitals, murdered civilians. Putin must be held to be responsible for every single act of Assad's bloody regime

  6. Not only is the regime forcibly stealing land/homes of those who fled to then make a profit out of them, it also wants to make a direct profit from the very fact that they are refugees who fled their homes. You'll see me the happiest man on Earth the day Assad dies.

Syrias Revolution shares the fate of the Spanish Revolution 1936-39. A revolutionary people divided could not win with poisonous 'allies' (USSR), 'neutral' Democracies whose embargos sabotaged self defense. While fasist powers Italy (Iran) and Hitler (Putin) threw all in.

Syrian revolutionary activists in Madrid face violence and slander from communists. But receive intelligent solidarity from a group of 'humanist libertarian socialists'. The 'left" label is meaningless. These two groups are opposites, not part of one movement.

At the beginning of the revolution Daraa, Homs and all other cities would go out and chant: ‘oh Hama forgive us’, referring to the Hama massacre of the 80s. And today we say, ‘oh Daraa, forgive us’. The regime has occupied the birthplace of our revolution, and the world looks on.

Tyrants like Lenin, Mao, Maduro, and purveyors of fascist propaganda like Chomsky, Corbyn, Stein, are my absolute enemies. The people I met last night are my friends and comrades. One label does not describe them.

They believe, correctly, that the Syrian Revolution offered greater hope to the world than any experience since 1930s Spain, and that its crushing condems the world to a new bout of fascist savagery.
