curious, an ally to whomst?
Me and Bryant have very different opinions on immigration but people should give him a chance in other areas. He’s an imperfect ally but he IS an ally and has shown growth in the short time I’ve known him. You are fully entitled to your opinions though. Not trying to antagonize.

[genuine question], I've walked back on people pulling fucked up shit and I'm perfectly down to say "hey, they've made an effort, watch them grow" but like, being a border patrol agent with stickers like that in a con staff position is kind of... really really uncomfortable.

Strides have been made on the LGBTQ front, various human rights issues where we disagree less on what needs to be done but how to do it.

Wait... I've always supported LGBTQ folks dude. That's kinda hurtful. I support DACA, I rescue injured and lost UDA's for a living. I am not the entire government.

I've stood and marched and protested for LBGTQ Rights Pepper. I believe strongly in marriage equality and said years ago they should have just applied the V vs Loving decision to it.

He and I were mutual followers at one time. We had a disagreement on detainment. He stopped following me and vice versa. For whatever reason that instance stood out in my mind, and now this. Given that was a year or so ago, and this is now, I don't see growth in this respect.

Yes. We will likely never agree on immigration issues. I believe every non criminal who wants to come here should be legally allowed to. There’s no way we’re bridging that.

Alrighty. I just hope he understands racism is never okay, and even though he's border patrol, those stickers of his appear to be quite insensitive. I probably didn't know him to the degree you do today, but I'm glad he's at the point of accepting other perceptions exist. ^w^

although he is Border Patrol, i gave him a chance and followed him because, yes, he is an ally, but if he, in private, jokes about suffocating waving the flag of my ancestors' homeland, I cannot in any good faith support him anymore.

I agree with Pepper, I've seen some real growth in him the last few years I've gotten to chat with him. We have had disagreements too but I think he's a good guy, just been shaped by his life and job and but has been broadening his view.
