And who in your opinion gets to decide what speech is deserving of violence?
They don't understand that they accidentally everyone else of doing the same thing they (or the people they are defending) do on a daily basis. "How dare you be intolerant of my views that trans people are subhuman and homosexuality is a mental illness! Listen to me!"

Where have I expressed those views? xD
-
'people they defend'
-
Sounds like guilt by association. Who do I defend and where?
-
well, considering this entire thread started from Cobaltdawg, one would assume him, whom I have hard personally on multiple occasions espouse the 'transgender is just mental illness' and 'muslims are inferior and should all be banned from the country' opinions
-
Gender dysphoria is in the DSM.
-
as a psychological state, yes, not as a mental illness. A psychological state is considered a mental disorder only if it causes significant distress or disability in and of itself (Voices that cannot be heard, paranoia) not intolerance from outside sources.
-
And dysphoria means....?
-
http://time.com/4424589/being-transgender-is-not-a-mental-disorder-study/ … The issue is that the unease comes from EXTERNAL sources, not the mental state itself, but once again, this is beside the point.

Accuse everyone else of doing the same thing they do on a daily basis... ...have opinions? I thought we were talking about mob rule.
-
Also, you keep going to the most extreme examples because you know they're undefendable when you know I'm not defending that, I'm defending people who were caught up in the crossfire by being accused via guilt by association.
-
You want me to pick out examples? There's this guy that said that black people had to be trained like pitbulls, that's an nasty opinion and you'd be right to ban him from your group. But banning someone just for talking to that guy? Even if he doesn't agree with him? Not cool.
