「日台の絆を深めよう！有志の集い」に発起人国会議員として参加。台湾は東日本大震災でどこの国よりも早く、多額の２００億円以上の義損金を送ってくれました。一昨年５月の訪台時に、佐藤から台湾の国会議員に福島県への観光チャーター機を依頼したところ、その年中に約束を果たしてくれました。感謝
