So an engineer using his own time and resources and at his own expense comes up with an idea to help and in conjunction and consultation with the divers on the ground as to what they need as a back up plan the only comments are so negative sad to read
-
This is the tweet I sent to the Guardian In reply to other people being so disrespectful
@elonmusk should not have to explain any of this so sad -
So true. People on social media write whatever the hell they want, without giving it an inch of thought that it might discourage the few remaining souls with good intent who wants to do good for the world.
-
god my heart just bleeds for the 5 bel-air mansions guy. maybe he should go hang out in one of them and hire someone to go through social media collating comments like yours if his rice paper-like skin can't handle the pressure of a journalists's pen

Can u believe all of those bad ppl called him a billionaire? Soul crushing.

And also you have billions of dollars. Thus, billionaire.
-
Are you guys even listening to what he is saying? He talking about how billionaire is used as a negative description. As if being successful is a bad thing. It is ironic
-
It is a bad thing because the only way you can become a billionaire is by stealing wages from your workers. That’s literally how capitalism works. If you’re my employee and I paid you an amount equal to what you produced for me, I wouldn’t earn any profit.
-
Or you could create a website, like paypal, that generates profits by taking 3% of every purchase
-
Put three seconds of thought into that. Those profits are part of the value created by his workers, which he took. Elon wasn’t the only worker at Paypal.
-
PayPal has some of the highest paid workers in all of the US. Also, I imagine many dozens made literally millions of dollars when it went public. Tesla employees are also fairly well compensated (although below ave auto assy worker wage). Walton family much more deserving of ire.
-
His point still stands. Also, it's not about determining who deserves the most blame, which is a pointless exercise.

Okay.... You have nearly limitless economic resources and yet choose not to lend your wealth or voice to alleviate the plight of the working class. That's your choice, but you can't be upset or confused as to why it rubs people the wrong way. You could do so much if you wanted.
-
Sad thing is he’s done moved to help the working class than all your heroes combined.
-
Oh yeah? Like what? And how can you possibly know who my heroes are...I don't know you
-
Its just sad they aren’t educating people these days. If they were you would understand every dollar he made helped Americans to the tune of ten to $100. Its government and taxes that cause poverty.
-
You're wrong and you're dumb
-
How is creating American jobs a bad thing for the working class?
-
Capitalists don’t create jobs, demand does. The same work would need to be done whether or not our laws resulted in a few people controlling massive amounts of wealth and throngs of others barely scraping by.
-
Do you think auto cos would accelerate the dev of electric vehicles if Tesla didn’t exist?
