Matress firm is a money laundering front

what is matress firm, I'm from australia so explain this theory to me like I'm 6
-
Basically matress firm is an American store that sells mattresses. But there's like 10 in every city in the whole damn country, and no one buys mattresses that often, you only need a new one every 10-20 years barring some freak accident. So people think there's additional income
-
Coming from drug dealers, human traffickers, what have you trying to get their money clean so its able to be visible in to the tax agencies in the US; and therefore used without suspicion.
-
There's three on one! fucking! street! in Manchester, NH! Who needs three stores on one street! You forgot to mention that they allow you to take loans out on your mattress! (To keep a consistent monthly money flow to the Mafia, I suppose)
-
There are two directly across the street from each other near my place in ATL with the exact same selection. This is the only reasonable explanation for that.

Ahhhh I think I know where you live ;)

its quite likely that planned obsolescence is built in to a lot of products

every single apple product yes, and most printers

For Apple phones, it's not even a conspiracy theory. It's evidence-based research.
-
Eh, it’s not exactly a mystery. The performance of new iPhones reliably doubles every two years, the software they run gets increasingly complex, and lithium-polymer batteries degrade. Apparently Apple will improve performance on older phones in iOS 12:https://www.cnet.com/news/ios-12-beta-on-an-old-iphone-5s-what-happened-speed-test/ …

Rule of thumb used to be to stop upgrading your operating system after two years and then stick to security updates. Major OS updates kill old hardware on all platforms.
-
I haven't upgraded my 5 in like 4 years because of this
-
Wait you can opt out of phone updates??
-
I lost my password and dropped my old email, so now I can't authenticate with Apple. Apple tries every day to update me, and I have to reject it every time.
