    Add that besides spent missiles keeping a Pantsir battle ready 24/7 for the rare event of DIY attacks has high working costs as well. So generally speaking: Challenging RUAF airfields tempting via leverage costs alone.

    Deraa: Just so you know, the reason why talks between Russia & Syrian rebels broke down was because Russia was throwing its weight around saying it had 40 jets ready to flatten Deraa if they do not surrender. This is the Astana deescalation they were talking about!
