OCD causes unease and issues in and of iteself, most people who experience it dislike and feel they suffer from the symptoms. This would fit the quality of a disorder. The primary source of issue with transgendered people is external sources.

as for the IRC comment, I ran old-school IRC rooms, and we didn't tolerate bullshit people. If one person getting their laughs being a racist fuck drove ten other people away who were just trying to have a good time, you'd better believe I banned the one over the ten.
