E3 is a wrap! The Abyss digital distribution platform and its team were proud to be part of this magnificent, large-scale and absolutely astonishing video game industry global event. It’s been a long week with far too many highlights to share them all at once. However, we have compiled our top highlights below.
But first, let us talk about the key impressions. E3 marked the start of The Abyss global roadshow for 2018. It was our first top-level public appearance, providing a great opportunity to present ourselves to the global video game community. This goal has been well achieved. The Abyss Team has delivered its concept and vision of the future of the video game industry and its understanding of digital distribution to thousands of gamers and developers.
At its exhibition stand, The Abyss Team has been showcasing its recent developments, and it was not a coincidence that the platform’s major update has been scheduled and released on June 12, the E3 opening day. During the next three days, The Abyss Team has held 50+ of business meetings with American and Asian companies (not exposing the titles to avoid any speculations) comprising global brands and smaller studios, each having their own expectations from the next generation digital distribution platform.
“It was a good experience in terms of exploring the industry and getting the feedback from the platform end users. The atmosphere was really friendly, and the project has gained a very warm welcome and a positive response both from the new visitors, and from the current partners we’re already collaborating with. Numerous opinions and ideas have been expressed in respect to the platform’s further development. And we’ll consider them all in order to create a great product on the market.”
— Vladimir Kurochkin, President of The Abyss.
The Abyss was extremely delighted to meet with Aleksandr Agapitov, CEO of Xsolla and Product Advisor to The Abyss, and have a face-to-face talk during E3. We have also been invited to visit Xsolla’s headquarters in Los Angeles to discuss our product development plans.
And surely, we had a pleasure meeting some of our contributors who have also visited The Abyss at E3. In general, it was fantastic to see everyone come together in such a fun environment. We can’t wait to see what will happen next year.
Now watch. These photos and emotions just speak for themselves.
Best,
The Abyss Team
