    The Syrian regime's prisons are a vast network of concentration camps, where torture and murder are endemic. Despite the solid evidence, it's unlikely justice will ever be done, certainly not by an international court.

    Senior Jordanian al-Qa'ida loyalists in northern Syria have released statements in support of Dar'a and urging them to not accept a surrender, rather to turn to guerilla warfare. 1st statement is jointly by Bilal Khuraysat and Iyad Toubasi, 2nd is by Khalid Aruri.

    What the Russians in particular are not keen on, well aware of the brittleness of the regime coalition and the expectations they disseminated even to rebel backers, is something like this that will protract the fight in South .

    It is not clear if Ahmad al-Awda is engaged in revisionism because of the extent of the opposition outcry against the announced terms, or whether al-Awda is telling the truth in the face of Russian active measures designed to induce a total rebel collapse.

    Lot of confusion in southern . Rebel leader Ahmad al-Awda, in Busra, east of Deraa, reached a deal with last night for the surrender of some territory and weapons. Al-Awda released a statement afterward saying it was not nearly so much as the Russians claim.
