    As I wrote for 2 years ago, “Turkey's Anti-Americanism Isn't New,” and its very origins can be traced to Turkish [secular] leftists perhaps even more so than TR’s Islamists.

    The narrative that the anti Erdogan "other half" of Turkey is "pro-Western pro NATO" is so misleading. Secular nationalists are every bit as paranoid about western "designs" support for Kurdish independence etc...

    You shouldn't be doing that. This "freedom-loving" crew, , is an Islamist-Marxist cult that is utterly despised in for, among other things, having initially sided with Khomeini's gang before switching to side with Saddam during the long war.
