Welcome to Hau~ Omochikaeri~! The main purpose of this site is to provide information about upcoming eroge to English speakers, via the following categories:
- Monthly releases. At the beginning of every month, Micchi and Zen outline the upcoming eroge and their thoughts about them. Cover art, release dates, story synopses (based on official site and any available trials), OP videos and game site links are included. Note that our opinions are just that and our top games of the month are a subjective ranking. Your opinions and rankings will most likely differ from ours.
- Weekly news. Micchi lists selected news from the eroge realm every Friday. News of eroge-related items, such as anime, manga, light novels, console games and merchandise will also be included.
- Eroge reviews. Micchi and Zen reviewed games that they have played fully, along with plenty of CGs and screenshots. The rating system is different depending on the reviewer. Currently, we no longer write reviews.
- Upcoming eroge. On the sidebar is a list of upcoming eroge in chronological order of release dates. They are linked to the game sites. This section is updated daily.
- Eroge-related links. There are a lot of other English eroge sites. Please visit them too! In addition, a list of eroge resource sites (predominantly in Japanese) is available too on the sidebar.
In addition, the site will also occasionally provide anime and figure impressions and reviews. Depending on time availability, match results and posters will also be available during Saimoe season.
Due to the nature of the content of this site, the majority of links will be to mature (18+) sites. Most of them are to Japanese sites. Please take note of this while browsing and click accordingly. Thanks for your understanding.
Note that we try our best to ensure the accuracy of the provided information, but there sometimes may be unintended errors. Please feel free to let us know in such cases.
Please do not ask for eroge download links. Such comments would be deleted immediately.
Authors
The authors of the site are Micchi, Zen and nemuiwanko. In joint posts, the comments are colour-coded: blue for Micchi, green for Zen, and coral for nemuiwanko.
About the Name
The name of the blog was inspired by Higurashi no Naku Koro ni‘s Rena Ryuuguu’s catchphrase はぅ～お持ち帰りぃ～！, which means “I want to take it home!”. This phrase captures my feeling about things that I love and care passionately about, especially cute things. Since this site is an expression of my obsessions interests, I feel that this phrase is an apt title for it.
Site History
Opened on September 2, 2008, Hau~ Omochikaeri~! is Micchi’s first blog. It originally started as a journal of Arietta’s travels in Mabinogi, continuing from the previous site On the Road to Avalon. It also reported on matches in the 2008 Saimoe and Best Moe tournaments. Over time, posts about other topics, such as eroge previews, Vocaloid songs, figures and other games increased. The site became predominantly a Mabinogi (NA) information site for upcoming patches and events.
In early March 2009, Micchi stopped playing Mabinogi and hence, ceased reporting on game updates. It has since changed into an eroge information site with reviews, previews and weekly news. Of course, posts about other topics will also appear from time to time. Reviews have been ceased since 2011.

@Me: I’ve kinda stopped playing Mabi (and MMOs in general), so I’m not really keeping up with the new patches and all. The recent patch’s information should be in the most recent Mabi posts, but anything G7 or beyond won’t be here. Sorry ^^;;;

Hi, I found this site after beginning my own small string of posts covering eroge (fairly specific in genre), and everything on this site was great. I just wanted to ask about the CG’s used in the posts. My biggest worry is about copyrighted content and I thought you may be able to tell me how you protect yourself or if it has not been necessary to do so, so far.
An e-mail or reply here would be very very helpful.

Hello there,
I attribute rights to the images to their respective owners. CGs for monthly posts come from Getchu and already have copyright symbols on them. If it’s used for publicity purposes, then it’s fair game. As for in-game material, I think screenshots are OK (it’s done for many Japanese blogs), but for CGs, you may wish to change the resolution. It’s not really a major issue so long as you’re not posting all CGs from the game, or claiming ownership of them.
Basically, just be respectful. Companies do not mind you promoting their games. Of course, if they have any problems with your posts, you’re obliged to abide by it. That’s my opinion.

I was wondering if you had put those symbols in yourselves but that question was answered as well. My biggest worries were the guidelines on each respective maker site prohibiting most uses (even online) aside from confirmed, unedited contents (except for rescaling or changing opacity). Considering how long the site has been going, I’m assuming your approach is correct. Again, thank you.
