Yesterday, there was a strong earthquake in northern Osaka.
Along with that appeared many posts on social networks which ridicule foreigners visiting Japan, saying that they "rob convenience stores because they're not used to earthquakes".
These are, without a doubt, clearly false rumors, but I, as a Japanese person, am ashamed, sad and vexed at these unbelievable lies, at the facts which were carried away in the air submerged by disaster.
There are probably foreigners who were hurt regarding this matter. I think it's really regrettable. I'm sorry.
I think there are various reasons why you are in Japan now, such as sightseeing, work, your studies and marriage.
No matter what the circumstances are, the fact that you're in Japan now makes me very happy.
I want people who dislike Japan to come to like it, and those who already like it to come to love it.
Osaka is my birthplace, and a place I love.
It's a noisy place, but inside the bustle there is laughter and warmth, and it's really cozy.
Everyone who hasn't come to Osaka yet, please come someday. Tasty food and cheerful Osakans are waiting for you.
When you come, if Osaka becomes a symbol of happiness in your heart, I would be very happy.
I'm sorry for my poor English, but thanks for reading.
God bless you♡
