"This is #Deir_Ezzor, the most contested piece of real estate in all of #Syria ." With these words my friend+colleague @arisroussinos launches yet another powerful segment on the #Syrian conflict and the war of meters against #ISIS by the #SDF and #CJTFOIR https://news.vice.com/amp/en_us/article/59qjq8/soldiers-pushing-out-whats-left-of-isis-in-deir-ezzor-syria?__twitter_impression=true …

True about the challenging history. But the Shaytat are now a core part of the SDF effort in Deir Azzour. Greater familiarity and a common cause seem to have gone a long way. How do you recommend the SDF proceeds moving forward to keep a good situation with Al Shaytat? Autonomy?

I understand your sentiment but the SDF (and even YPG within the SDF) has mobilized Arabs in its structure. How can the SDF leave the Arabs alone if there are so many Arabs who are part of the SDF and have contributed to its mission. Literally put their lives on the line for it?
