PMD-Explorers 2 Doujin

Most people probably won't know what this is, but I'm still looking for it nonetheless!



It's part of a story from a discontinued Pokemon Mystery Dungeon style storytelling group that I used to be a part of, but the group fell apart due to some drama. But I still loved the story and this is the only one of three comics I didn't get my hands on!

Well, today I got it.
But it's in Japanese, haha. '^^



I still love it because of the art, but I don't know the full story of what's going on as I don't read Japanese. Has anyone seen or have the English version that they'd be willing to part with? I didn't have the money to get the comic when it first came out but have been looking everywhere for it ever since.

If you can’t manage to find it, you could always get the Japanese translated. I know the owners of the Miss Dream website do translations and I’d imagine there’s others as well.

Oh wow, that's a nice bit of nostalgia there! I was a member of that group, though I wasn't active, I only participated in one mission. Ended up not following the story, but I always loved seeing the art for it.
Anyway, I didn't know there were actual doujinshis made, that's pretty cool~ good luck finding an English copy!

Yeah, sweet sweet nostalgia~ <3 The art was always pretty, yes!

They were on a site called doujinpress.com, but issue 2 hasn't been available for years and the site just recently went on a hiatus. So now I'll have to look elsewhere. Thanks! Let the search begin!

Have you tried contacting the author asking if they might have a pdf version to sell you?

Glip doesn't have these or the ones for pre-re-drawn Floraverse, either. What's left is what the fans saved.

That art gave me flashbacks. Some good. Some horrifying. That was from Kemoket, I'm guessing? You may have luck with secondhand ones on tumblr or dA. I've seen a lot of fans on those sites.

Haha, it's nostalgic for me~ Well, the 3 issues of the comics Glip made were sold on a specific site (doujinpress.com). 1 and 3 were always available, but 2 hasn't been available for years. That was the only place I knew where to get it, but now I've been looking elsewhere. I'll check tumblr and dA and see what I find! Thanks!

I had no idea they ended!! I used to be a part of that group too... it was so much fun to draw and share stories, but I lost touch with it after some time... that's sad news

Yeah, the group ended sometime in like August 2015. It had a good story going and I really enjoyed it too. It ended rather abruptly and left a lot of things hanging which made it even worse...

Oh man! I remember seeing this on dA!! I loved seeing the art for it, but I never kept up with the story or anything haha
I wanted to join but was waaay too lazy
I didn’t know it ended over drama 🤭 I only saw the journal saying it was just getting too overwhelming & they didn’t have time for it anymore haha
Hopefully you’ll be able to find a copy! I didn’t even know they made a comic with it, I would’ve def bought one! & then probably be giving it to you right now 😆

Yeah, they had beautiful art and storytelling for that group! The way it ended was just kind of sad to be honest, but I still loved it while it lasted. Thanks for the thought! I'll keep looking! :)

Yeah, no problem!

PMD-Explorers used to be a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon style storytelling group on deviantART that was run by purplekecleon/glitchedpuppet and a couple other people who handled art, writing, editing, and even music. The group had it's own characters and story line, but had open prompts for missions and side jobs that allowed members to take part of and be a part of the main story.

It was pretty fun while it lasted! There are similarly structured groups out there on dA today, just not as widespread as PMD-e used to be.

Ah, yes! <3 The group was wonderful while it lasted. I miss it too.

But yeah, there's 3 doujin actually! The first one has to do with a young Palette and Devonshire, the second has to do with PK before she took over Tao from her father, and the third is more about the Slasher Gang and when Slasher was still a sneasel~

They're pretty great reads! Plus have amazing artwork! <3
