    While the YPG says it’ll withdraw its “military advisers” (foreign PKK figures), Turkish sources say Turkish-backed forces will take over Manbij. The latter is nowhere near accurate. Unless things develop further, Turkey could only observe that YPG is no longer in control there

    There were talks a year ago between the SDF and some elements of the FSA (previously vetted by the US, but not involved in the Euphrates Shield) to join the SDF and take on a role in non-Kurdish areas. Not sure if those would now get involved, but recruiting is ongoing AFAIK.
