    Very kind words from the former head of UK Counter Terrorism Command. Our book "Nine Lives: My Time as the West's top spy inside al Qaeda" is due out on both sides of the Atlantic in early June. It tells the story of arguably the most important ever Western spy inside al Qaeda.

    's official media still a shadow of its former self: After short-lived uptick in Jan '18, its total output fell back to ≤140 audiovisual products per month in Mar/Apr/May. Also, just two provincial videos released in May '18, which is lowest number of videos per month ever.

    Since I wrote that in-depth study 5 months ago for , has cracked down on Al-Qaeda loyalists in NW , who in turn have repeatedly slammed HTS & its leaders for betraying AQ & Islam’s strict principals. They have literally fought & killed each other.

    As I outlined in depth back in February, //'s evolution - whether by design or not - has severed the group from Al-Qaeda’s command in . has acknowledged this repeatedly. AQ loyalists have publicly broken away in protest - creating their own units.
