    Interesting to think about how the country would be different today if NBC had fired Trump after his birther remarks, and if he’d then become persona non grata on tv generally. Actually it’s not interesting: Trump simply wouldn’t be president.

    The Israeli Army Spokesperson is reporting that Gaza factions fired over 70 mortars & rocket at southern Israel today. 4 injured. Israel struck multiple Hamas & Islamic Jihad targets. 2 Islamic Jihad fighters were killed in Rafah, Gaza.

    Independent Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko, who left Russia for security reasons over a year ago, was murdered in Kyiv this evening. RIP, dear friend.

    When I would point out to residents of Quneitra & Daraa that Israel previously betrayed the Christian militia it supported in Lebanon & the Kurds in Iraq, some would insist that they're different because they're an ethnic majority & hence aligning w/ them makes sense.
