Disappointed but not surprised to see the court again sanction Israel's grave violations of human rights & intl law in Gaza. The courts have long backed the state's actions & bought the falsehood that it no longer bears responsibility for Gaza residents.

Big takeaway for me from today's civil war seminar - the staggering amount of variation in how "porous" the lines between state and rebel are. In some cases, rebels wander in and out of elite positions in government. In others, incredibly fixed, rigid lines between state/rebels.
