    Well, perhaps Iran's military posture is aimed at achieving several things: deterrence, defense, punishment and offense. What matters are circumstances, opportunity, perception etc. Also, this piece too easily ignores ideology.

    True love is not falling in love with a person b/c they are perfect & flawless. True love is when you are able to see all the flaws & imperfections of a person & still fall in love with them anyway. I love Iraq even though it's neither perfect nor flawless, so I'll vote tomorrow.

    Feel free to write on this Arbella but you misrepresent both my role in this whole affair and my position. My remarks you quote condemning a scenario where the NYT gives the IS documents to a private institution few can access, Western or otherwise

    I see that yesterday, the NYT announced it will be producing a piece responding to these ethical (and legal, a dimension I don’t address) concerns. I hope they’ll take the questions I raise into account.
