The issues with it IRL are pretty easy to understand. Child porn is a product of child abuse. Letting it be legal encourages a market for it thus propagating sexual child abuse. I shouldn't need to explain why this is bad.

The tricky thing about it is that it's more then just a product of a abuse. It's a tool to normalize that abuse. Pedo rings use CP media to normalize the subject with the children they groom. It's used to make the children think it's okay and less likely to report the abuse.

Children aren't the only ones who become normalized and complicit with CP though. Adults like you and I are just as suceptable to the content.
@tacklebawks is a great example of this. He's grown so accustomed to it he's indulging in it and is a practicing pedophile.Show this thread -
Fictional CP only has 1 real difference between itself and real CP. The fact fictional isn't a product of child abuse. This might be a major difference, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still a tool for pedophiles to groom children it normalize it.

As a community we need to stop turning a blind eye towards this content and start treating it like it is; it's child porn.

Aww heck!!! Thanks for all the likes, folks. Not to be pushy, I'd really like to encourage you to retweet the start to this if you agree with it! Sharing this view openly is the first step towards dealing with it as a community.

Hay folks! Some people have made a very fair complaint about me not censoring the FCP in this thread, so I'm gonna go ahead and delete the origional posting (in a few wee minutes). I'll leave these censors up, and if anyone needs the uncensored for any reason, PM me!pic.twitter.com/SHjjilSWm3

He is not a pedophile your slanders lies being shared are dangerous and harmful to the artists. This falls into a legal issue.
-
You really don’t understand. Making accusations like that actually DOES have consequences.
-
Like how distributing child porn does? That thing a pedophile does?
-
I’m not fucking supporting what he drew, far from it. But if you think throwing that around Willy Nilly is fine, when the fuckin FBI actually has people scanning twitter for keywords LIKE THAT, you really don’t get the big picture of this.
-
If you draw or distribute FCP, you're a pedophile, or a pedophilic content creator which is just as bad. We have clear proof the account was is and I've heard enough about his inkbunny that I'm gonna investigate that tonight.

He favorited cub artwork on an alt twitter god forbid he has another twitter doing the same as so many other artists and people who like furry art do so who gives a shit? Oh, right he is a popular artist now it all makes sense!

But joking aside maybe if you would reread my thread you'll see my intent was not to focus on him and instead use him as a talking point about why fictional child porn is bad.
-
Why is this form of entirely fictional work bad but rape images are fair game? 50,000+ documents alone on FA have the keyword "rape" in them, and that subject is equally as taboo. Where does one draw the line in fiction? Especially with the baseless claim of normalisation?pic.twitter.com/eBCOwYiegC

There isn't a large, politically active, violent group of rapists trying to normalize rape and make rape legal.

Yes, they're right wing news sites, what of it? That doesn't explain why you're dodging the question.
